Are The New Immigration Laws & Raids Really Paving A Good Future For The Us?

Children are being seperated from their parents to only be left alone with other family members or friends to only face economical hardship and psychological trauma. We have enough troubled teens in our society, and this is just adding more fuel to the fire. How can this be a good thing to our society, and the future of our children? What do you think?http://www.cnn.com/2008/LIVING/wayoflife…
It was the start of a downward spiral for Quiroz. When her mother and brothers were deported, Quiroz and her 6-year-old, American-born sister had no choice but to return to Mexico City with them.
Her seventh grade year was spent in a classroom where she didn’t understand the language.
“I never belonged there,” she says. “I’d just come home, sit down, cry. I’d say, ‘Mom, I can’t do it.’ … I can’t read or write Spanish.”
She adds, “I felt like there were no dreams for me.”
Stories like these are becoming more common, immigration analysts say, with American children caught in the middle of their mother or father’s illegal status. A report last month in the Journal of the American Medical Association said these children face “increasing risk of family separation, economic hardship and psychological trauma.”
“It’s really hard to imagine something that can be more traumatic than to be forcibly separated from their caregiver. That’s the enforcement climate that we’re operating in now,” says Miriam Calderon, the associate director for education and children’s policy at the National Council of La Raza, the largest Hispanic advocacy group in the United States.

All countries have the right to have immigration laws and the absolute necessity of securing its borders.
Millions of children are affected by the criminal activity of their parents. How many parents are in jail, leaving children without a mother or a father or both??? We have laws for a reason, and you aren’t exempt from the law or enforcement of the law because you have children.
The parents are to blame for their crime and its consequences, not our country (or ANY country) for enforcing our laws.
    P.S.
You could rephrase your question to read:
Do laws pave a good future for civilization?? Yes…of course they do…without them, we would have anarchy…common sense.

If children are being separated from their parents, it is the parents choice.
It is a real pity that the parents are causing this kind of anguish for their children, but they knowingly entered this country illegally and have to suffer the consequences.

You either have no job or you work on a computer all day like me. If you actually have a job it has to be at the mexican consulate. Where do you dig this crap up. Find a better source for information. They Call CNN the communist news network for a reason.

This is what happens to families of criminals! If they didn’t do the crime they wouldn’t have these problems! If I kill someone I go to jail. What happens to my family? At least these kids can stay with the criminals in Mexico if the parents want!

Parents should not break the law and come to this country illegally. They should assume that they will eventually be caught and sent back.
I think the immigration laws have been very lenient, so more and more people are coming to this country illegally.
They are depleted to many resources and they are burden to the rest of the citizens.
If they would have come here legally to begin with, they wouldn’t be in this position.
Just like the parents that commit crimes and are sent to prison. They are also seperated from their parents.
I woudn’t really trust what the National Council of La Raza has to say, I think they are the one’s that want to take over part of the US and give it back to Mexico.

No, we shouldn’t have immigration laws Tony… We should have Marshall all along the boarder states… 1 million pissed of AMERICANS(white, black, brown, yellow, or blue) need to stand hand in hand along the boarder….. HAHAHA it could be like a giant game of Red Rover…Red Rover, Red Rover, send Pedro over..BANG….
No seriously though. Your copy/paste pro argument sounds a bit to much like anarchy to me… Get a new hobby bro.

If your copy/paste argument is that illegals deserve the same rights as actual legal citizens then you are a moron. If they want equality they can either get on the already paved road to citizenship or go home to live with their people. Liberalism is a mental disorder that compromises ones ability to decipher logic and in time renders a tainted, false, belief system identical to greasys. Miriam Calderon is the most prevalent example of racism since Leonard Jefferies. Her agenda is not unlike your question, jaded and suspect. Yes, I know everybody naturally wants to pull for their people but this is not an issue of race. This is a issue of laws, respect and appreciation. If somebody does not respect your laws then how can they honesty expect you to appreciate them?

How pathetic and self-centered can you people be??? You say all these things because you have not been in their position! Hell if I was illegal and I worked my butt off for my family and my kids are LEGAL (and yes they are because they were born in the U.S. just because they are born from an illegal doesn’t mean they are also illegal i’ve seen that many get confused about that, so get it straight) I get sent to Mexico and what about my kids what will be of them?? would you want to leave your kids behind? And i’m just speaking my opinion here I read everybodys opinion and I understand some of you, but also understand that it’s not easy being in the position they are in.

Everyone should know where I stand by now:
If we go back to the way immigration use to be done, we wouldn’t have any of these problems. The ordeal today is that to migrate to another country costs an arm and leg. We should set up the system as it once was so that we wouldn’t have the issues as stated in the article above.
As for the CNN commy comment… you must be smoking the good stuff. Pass it along.
